Job Summary
Vulcan Materials Company is seeking an IT Auditor to support IT compliance, operational audits, and information systems evaluations.

This role focuses on SOX compliance, control testing, and assessing the effectiveness of IT systems and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and document SOX, operational, and IT control processes
  • Execute control testing for ITGC, SOX, and operational audits
  • Collaborate with audit teams and business stakeholders to understand processes
  • Research and analyze IT and audit-related issues
  • Support identification of process improvements and control enhancements

Skills
– Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field
– Internship or experience in IT, data, or audit-related roles

  • Understanding of IT audit practices and control frameworks (COBIT, ISO, NIST, ITIL)
  • Knowledge of SOX 404 IT compliance and control testing
  • Experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server)
  • Familiarity with Windows Server, UNIX/Linux, and directory services
  • Exposure to programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or .NET
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
  • Familiarity with data analytics and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
