Job Summary
Climax Molybdenum, a Freeport-McMoRan company, is seeking an Operational Systems Analyst I to support operational applications, reporting, system health, and technology support at its Climax operations in Colorado. This role helps site users access operational data, resolve application issues, maintain supported systems, and improve operational efficiency through local application support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support clients of operational applications by providing data for specific requests.
  • Resolve issues related to system functionality and performance.
  • Train clients in the proper use and features of operational applications.
  • Support and maintain applications in alignment with defined architecture and standards.
  • Assist with implementing modifications for local or site-specific applications to improve operational efficiency.
  • Create and maintain reports using advanced querying and report-building tools.
  • Update reports to reflect system changes or changes in client and operational requirements.
  • Monitor and maintain system health for supported applications.
  • Promote safety and environmental programs while ensuring MIS policy compliance and supporting site operational goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a mining-related engineering discipline and one year of experience in engineering, systems administration, or technology support; or
  • High School diploma or GED and five years of experience in general information technology, software troubleshooting, computer systems maintenance, and application support.
  • Basic understanding of data concepts and usage.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Candidates may be required to pass a medical exam.
  • Candidates must pass all required training and testing.
  • Employees may be required to work a non-standard schedule, including shift work, in a 24/7 operation.
  • Pre-employment drug testing and ongoing drug and alcohol testing may be required, as allowed by applicable laws.
