Job Summary
SRK Consulting is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to support civil design, mine waste, water engineering, permitting, project management, and technical oversight for mining and metals sector projects.

This role includes execution and oversight of engineering design work, business development, client engagement, site visits, mentorship of junior staff, and contribution to the advancement of SRK’s engineering practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute and provide technical oversight for civil design on mine waste and water engineering projects
  • Actively support business development activities
  • Manage technical deliverables, budgets, and schedules
  • Oversee conceptual through detailed design and permitting processes
  • Prepare and review supporting engineering calculations, models, and methods
  • Interface with clients and complete site visits or inspections as necessary
  • Support the development and advancement of SRK’s engineering practice
  • Mentor junior staff
  • Collaborate with technical specialists across mining, geochemistry, geotechnics, groundwater, and environmental disciplines
  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Mining Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
  • Registered Professional Engineer or ability to obtain registration
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the mining industry or in a civil or geotechnical engineering position
  • Ability and desire to collaborate with technical specialists in a team-oriented environment
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication and writing skills
  • Proficiency in civil engineering design software and methodologies
  • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline preferred
  • Professional consulting services experience preferred
