Job Summary
Hycroft Resources & Development, LLC is seeking an IT System Administrator to support network, systems, and infrastructure operations at the Hycroft open pit gold and silver mine near Winnemucca, Nevada.

This role is responsible for installing, configuring, updating, monitoring, securing, and troubleshooting network devices and systems, including routers, switches, firewalls, servers, and related IT infrastructure. The IT System Administrator will support users, maintain documentation, enforce network security policies, and collaborate with IT staff and vendors to ensure reliable technology operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, update, and maintain network equipment and software
  • Monitor network performance and availability
  • Troubleshoot network issues, outages, and system-related problems
  • Implement and enforce network security policies and procedures
  • Protect company data and systems from unauthorized access
  • Support users with network-related issues and requests
  • Provide user training and guidance as needed
  • Document network configurations, changes, incidents, and inventory
  • Research and evaluate new network technologies and solutions
  • Recommend improvements, upgrades, and technology enhancements
  • Collaborate with IT staff and vendors to support smooth network operations
  • Handle multiple tasks and projects independently and as part of a team
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field preferred
  • Network administration or engineering certification such as CCNA, CCNP, or Network+ preferred
  • Proven experience as a systems administrator or similar role
  • Solid knowledge of network protocols, standards, and architectures such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and LAN/WAN
  • Experience with network hardware and software such as Cisco, Juniper, Windows Server, and Linux
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Willingness to learn new skills and technologies
  • Ability to work independently and as part of the Hycroft team
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Valid driver’s license required

Physical Requirements

  • Work in a mine site and office technology environment
  • Support network equipment, systems, and users across site operations
  • Observe, correct, and report unsafe conditions
  • Follow operating procedures and comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
