Job Summary
SRK Consulting is seeking a Mid- to Senior-Level Engineer in Civil, Mining, or Environmental Engineering to support domestic and international mining projects from its Alaska practice.

This role supports civil design, mine waste and water engineering, permitting, closure projects, project management, client engagement, business development, and mentoring within an employee-owned global mining consultancy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute and provide technical participation in civil design for mine waste and water engineering, permitting, and closure projects
  • Manage technical deliverables, budgets, and schedules
  • Participate in conceptual through detailed design and permitting processes
  • Prepare and review supporting engineering calculations, models, and methods
  • Interface with clients and complete site visits or inspections as needed
  • Actively support the development and advancement of SRK’s engineering practice
  • Participate in business development activities
  • Mentor other team members
  • Collaborate with technical specialists across mining, geochemistry, geotechnics, groundwater, and environmental disciplines
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, or a related field
  • Registered Professional Engineer in Alaska or ability to obtain registration
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the mining industry
  • Professional consulting services experience preferred
  • Ability and desire to collaborate with technical specialists in a team-oriented environment
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication and writing skills
  • Proficiency in civil engineering design software and methodologies
  • Experience with Civil 3D preferred
