Job Summary
Perpetua Resources is seeking a Senior Environmental Scientist to lead environmental compliance, permitting, and monitoring activities for the Stibnite Gold Project.

This role provides technical expertise, leadership, and coordination across environmental programs, ensuring compliance with regulations while supporting construction and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with environmental permits, licenses, and regulations
  • Manage environmental monitoring, inspections, reporting, and recordkeeping
  • Coordinate permitting activities and stakeholder engagement
  • Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Install, operate, and maintain environmental monitoring systems
  • Analyze environmental data and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Communicate with regulatory agencies and maintain strong relationships
  • Manage environmental projects, contractors, and consultants
  • Lead audits and inspections to ensure Environmental Management System compliance
  • Monitor regulatory changes and assess operational impacts
  • Report compliance or permitting risks to management
  • Support departmental planning and environmental strategy
  • Provide environmental training and guidance to site personnel

Qualifications

– Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or related field

  • 7+ years of experience in environmental programs within mining or heavy construction
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance systems
  • Experience managing permits, reporting, and regulatory interactions
  • Experience leading teams, projects, or environmental programs
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills

Additional Experience May Include

  • Experience with environmental compliance systems and databases
  • Experience in remediation, reclamation, or environmental project management
  • Experience working with federal and state environmental agencies
  • Background in environmental engineering, hydrology, or geotechnical fields
