Job Summary
Hycroft Resources & Development, LLC is seeking an Exploration Manager to lead exploration activities at the Hycroft open pit gold and silver mine near Winnemucca, Nevada.

This role is responsible for managing near-mine and regional exploration programs, target generation, project pipeline assessment, drill planning, geological interpretation, QA/QC implementation, team mentorship, and exploration decision-making across multiple stages of the exploration pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead exploration activities across the Hycroft project
  • Assess exploration potential, define targets, propose programs, and manage exploration work
  • Oversee target generation, target assessment, and project pipeline management
  • Design, assess, plan, and prioritize exploration targets at various stages
  • Participate actively in exploration programs to support real-time technical decisions
  • Contribute to drill planning for resource discovery, resource growth, and drill program optimization
  • Sequence exploration activities including geochemical, geophysical, geological survey, and drilling work
  • Ensure optimal use of exploration data to support geological interpretation and decision-making
  • Ensure QA/QC programs and procedures are implemented across exploration programs and surveys
  • Review QA/QC data, identify issues, and ensure corrective actions are completed
  • Develop and strengthen the exploration team through mentorship and training opportunities
  • Perform and assist with geological and structural modeling as needed
  • Follow operating procedures and comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

  • 10 years of exploration experience with Carlin-type, epithermal gold-silver, and other deposit types
  • At least 5 years of management experience within the mining industry
  • Near-mine and regional exploration experience
  • Experience developing both surface and underground projects
  • Strong knowledge of QA/QC principles, including implementation and data assessment
  • Proficiency with exploration and mining software
  • GIS and 3D modeling skills
  • Strong communication, leadership, organization, and team-building skills
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines

Physical Requirements

  • Work in mine site, field exploration, and office environments
  • Support near-mine and regional exploration activities
  • Participate in exploration program planning, field reviews, and technical evaluations as needed
  • Observe, correct, and report unsafe conditions
  • Follow operating procedures and comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
