Job Summary
Phoenix Tailings is seeking a Director of Sales to lead strategic growth initiatives across commercial partnerships, government engagement, and long-term customer relationships.
This role is highly external-facing and supports the company’s go-to-market strategy for clean, domestic critical metals. The Director of Sales will work closely with executive leadership to identify opportunities, structure partnerships, negotiate commercial agreements, and convert strategic interest into long-term commercial value.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a sales strategy that drives long-term revenue through multi-year supply and offtake agreements
- Identify, evaluate, and pursue new revenue opportunities aligned with Phoenix Tailings’ growth and expansion plans
- Build and manage relationships with customers, strategic partners, and key external stakeholders
- Structure and negotiate commercial agreements that support long-term supply, offtake, and strategic collaboration
- Represent Phoenix Tailings externally with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders
- Develop market intelligence and competitive insights to inform pricing, positioning, and go-to-market strategy
- Work closely with internal teams to translate commercial commitments into executable operational plans
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in sales, commercial leadership, or account management in industrial, materials, or energy markets
- Proven track record of originating and closing complex commercial or strategic agreements
- Experience working with industrial, energy, materials, infrastructure, or government-adjacent markets
- Strong ability to build credibility and trust with senior external stakeholders
- Experience negotiating and structuring long-term commercial contracts
- Strong strategic judgment paired with a bias toward execution
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
