Job Summary
Mariana Minerals is seeking a Staff Product Manager to own a critical product domain within MarianaOS, the company’s digital platform for mineral projects.
This role leads product strategy and execution across complex industrial software domains, working at the intersection of mining operations, mineral processing, AI, autonomous systems, hardware, software, and real-world operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Own a product domain end-to-end, from problem discovery through software delivery in real operational environments
- Define what to build by analyzing operational performance data and working closely with domain experts
- Identify the metrics, instrumentation, and workflows needed to improve operational decision-making
- Spend time at project sites, processing facilities, and mines to understand how work happens in the field
- Work at the intersection of hardware, software, and AI to translate advanced capabilities into trusted operational tools
- Support product development across domains such as mine optimization, plant autonomy, business operations, digital twins, and industrial systems
- Drive clarity in ambiguous situations by defining scope, making tradeoffs explicit, and focusing teams on high-leverage work
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with engineers, operators, scientists, and business stakeholders
- Help build the product management function, including prioritization practices, operating rhythms, and PM development
- Support software products that directly impact recovery rates, reagent consumption, construction timelines, equipment uptime, and operational performance
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in product management
- Experience in environments where software intersects with physical systems, industrial operations, or safety-critical applications
- Ability to go deep on technical domains and build credibility with engineering teams
- Experience leading cross-functional teams through ambiguous and complex projects with competing constraints
- Strong curiosity about physical systems and how industrial operations work
- Ability to communicate with audiences ranging from PhD engineers and scientists to field operators
- Strong product judgment and ability to prioritize high-leverage work
- Experience with autonomous systems, robotics, fleet-scale operations, ML-powered products, reinforcement learning, process control, or optimization is a plus
- Background in industrial software, digital twin systems, process automation, or digital transformation is a plus
- Engineering or technical degree valued but not required
- Ability to work on-site and travel significantly as required
