Job Summary
Mariana Minerals is seeking an Electrician to provide electrical support for refinery operations in East Texas.
This role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, testing, adjusting, installing, and removing electrical, communication, control, and measurement equipment while supporting safe, reliable, and compliant plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, repair, test, adjust, install, and remove electrical, communication, control, and measurement equipment
- Read and interpret building blueprints, process blueprints, one-line diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation
- Install outlets, circuits, load centers, and other electrical equipment
- Test electrical connections to ensure components are working properly and safely
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues in industrial equipment and processes
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems, including disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, and calibration
- Follow local, state, and national electrical codes
- Communicate potential electrical hazards to management, engineers, mechanics, and equipment operators
- Determine work scope and the best approach to complete electrical maintenance and construction tasks
- Update computerized maintenance management system records to maintain accurate plant asset history
- Support plant processes, packaging systems, and operational reliability
- Recommend equipment for preventive maintenance programs and suggest maintenance process improvements
- Maintain records, files, and accurate control reports
- Comply with DOT, OSHA, environmental, health, safety, and company requirements
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in electronics, electrical, instrumentation, or a related technical field preferred, or equivalent experience
- 3–5 years of experience as an operations or maintenance technician, or previous experience in electronics
- Experience testing, setting up, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment
- Knowledge of electrical motors, flow computers, PLCs, PCs, routers, switches, radar gauges, relay systems, switchgear, breakers, motor control centers, contactors, valve actuators, pumps, and instrumentation
- Ability to follow manufacturer specifications, schematics, one-line diagrams, and technical orders
- Ability to calculate electrical circuit load requirements
- Knowledge of electrical power and distribution systems
- Maintenance background including hydraulics, controls, electrical systems, PLCs, machine tools, and pneumatics
- Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical issues on industrial equipment and large projects
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and electrical or electromechanical test equipment
- Knowledge of safety, environmental, and security regulations and procedures
- Experience in hydrometallurgy, mining, or battery material production preferred
