Job Summary
Mariana Minerals is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and oversee the movement of materials, equipment, and supplies to and from its Copper One subsidiary in Moab, Utah.
This role supports mining, recycling, production, maintenance, and construction operations while ensuring logistics activities comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate inbound and outbound transportation of materials, consumables, spare parts, and heavy equipment
- Schedule and monitor deliveries to ensure materials arrive on time and in the correct quantities
- Inspect copper scrap received on site to ensure deliveries are accurate
- Manage freight providers and carriers for deliveries to the mine site
- Support warehousing, laydown areas, and on-site material handling activities
- Track shipments and resolve delays, damages, or shortages in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate inventory records using site ERP and inventory systems
- Work with warehouse and procurement teams to manage stock levels and reorder points
- Support critical spares management to minimize mining equipment downtime
- Conduct stock takes and inventory audits as required
- Coordinate logistics for shutdowns, major maintenance events, and site construction projects
- Support mobilization and demobilization of equipment, contractors, and personnel
- Ensure logistics activities comply with mine safety standards, MSHA/OSHA regulations, and site procedures
- Coordinate transport of hazardous materials according to applicable regulations
- Prepare logistics reports, delivery schedules, cost tracking documentation, and compliance records
Qualifications
- Certificate, diploma, or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 3–5 years of logistics or supply chain experience, preferably in mining, construction, or heavy industry
- Experience working in a remote, industrial, or 24/7 operational environment
- Strong understanding of freight coordination and inventory management
- Prior experience in open-pit or underground mining operations preferred
- Knowledge of heavy equipment transport and bulk materials handling preferred
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Pronto, Oracle, or similar platforms preferred
- Familiarity with FIFO/DIDO workforce logistics preferred
- Ability to coordinate with production, maintenance, procurement, warehouse, and project teams
- Strong attention to detail, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
