Job Summary
Komatsu is seeking a Trade Compliance & Inventory Control Manager to support Hensley Industries, a wholly owned subsidiary of Komatsu North America focused on construction and mining markets. This role manages regional distribution center operations, trade compliance policies, import/export compliance, inventory performance, SAP system integration, internal audits, and regulatory documentation across global transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage regional distribution center operations while leading the development, implementation, and enforcement of company-wide trade compliance policies.
  • Ensure adherence to U.S. and international customs, import/export control, and sanctions regulations across global transactions.
  • Drive performance improvements across regional distribution centers, including optimal inventory levels, relevant KPIs, delivery performance, and cost-effective operations.
  • Optimize inventory performance by reducing non-moving stock, increasing inventory turnover per part, and minimizing slow-moving inventory risk.
  • Collaborate with Hensley ICT and SAP consultants to maintain FTP and EDI communication channels between inventory management systems and SAP S/4HANA IM/WM.
  • Ensure seamless data integration and efficient system performance across distribution and inventory platforms.
  • Manage trade compliance programs and conduct internal audits.
  • Monitor evolving trade regulations, including PFAS, CBAM, REACH, EUDR, Prop 65, Russian Steel Declaration, Full Material Disclosure, HTS codes, and Country of Origin requirements.
  • Manage the duty drawback program.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant records for import and export activities, including documentation, tracking, and retention.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • At least three years of international trade compliance experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with SAP or an equivalent ERP system.
  • Experience with inventory control, distribution center operations, or supply chain performance management preferred.
  • Knowledge of customs, import/export controls, sanctions regulations, HTS codes, Country of Origin requirements, and trade compliance documentation preferred.
  • Ability to manage audits, regulatory documentation, KPIs, and inventory performance initiatives.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
