Job Summary
Vulcan Materials Company is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator (Stripping) to support material movement and site operations across locations, with travel required.
This role focuses on safe equipment operation, inspections, and maintaining operational efficiency in outdoor and dynamic environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote safety in all activities in accordance with MSHA and company standards
- Operate off-highway heavy equipment to transport materials safely and efficiently
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment
- Complete daily equipment reports and operational documentation
- Maintain equipment by checking fluids and supporting minor maintenance
- Monitor plant operations and report maintenance or safety concerns
- Support site operations and perform additional assigned duties
Skills
– Experience operating heavy construction or off-highway equipment preferred
– Valid driver’s license required
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and servicing best practices
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Willingness to work overtime and extended hours
- Ability to tolerate high-noise environments
- Strong safety awareness and adherence to MSHA standards
