Job Summary
Vulcan Materials Company is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support HR operations across plant and organizational levels.

This role focuses on advising leadership, supporting employees, managing HR processes, and ensuring compliance across multiple HR functions including benefits, payroll, recruiting, and employee relations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise managers and supervisors on day-to-day HR matters
  • Collaborate with recruiting teams and hiring managers on local hiring strategies
  • Support employee relations and communication across plant operations
  • Assist with HR initiatives, acquisitions, and organizational growth efforts
  • Manage employee benefits, leave programs (FMLA, STD, LTD), and HR inquiries
  • Execute HR administrative tasks including hiring, terminations, and job changes
  • Maintain HR records in compliance with policies and regulations
  • Ensure payroll activities are submitted accurately and on time
  • Maintain documentation of HR procedures and processes

Skills
– Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field

  • Experience as an HR Generalist, preferably in industrial or manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of HRIS, compensation, benefits, and payroll systems
  • Familiarity with tools such as Kronos, Taleo, PeopleSoft, Excel, and Google Sheets
  • Understanding of HR policies, employment laws, and HR disciplines
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • High level of confidentiality and integrity
