Job Summary
Vulcan Materials Company is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator (Haul Truck) to support plant operations by safely transporting raw materials and finished products.
This role focuses on maintaining safe operations, ensuring equipment performance, and supporting overall production efficiency within the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote safety in all activities in accordance with MSHA and company standards
- Operate off-highway haul trucks to transport materials across the facility
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on mobile equipment
- Complete daily equipment reports and operational documentation
- Monitor plant operations and report maintenance or safety concerns
- Maintain equipment by checking fluid levels and supporting minor maintenance
- Support overall plant operations and perform additional assigned duties
Skills
- Experience operating heavy construction or off-highway equipment preferred
- Knowledge of best practices in operating and servicing heavy equipment
- Ability to work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions
- Willingness to work overtime and extended hours as needed
- Strong awareness of safety standards and operational procedures
