Job Summary
Vulcan Materials Company is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to support the maintenance and repair of mobile equipment across plant operations.

This role focuses on ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting safe and efficient operations through inspection, diagnostics, and repair activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote safety in all activities in accordance with MSHA and company standards
• Service, repair, adjust, and test mobile equipment across plant operations
• Inspect equipment to identify issues and troubleshoot mechanical problems
• Perform repairs on diesel and heavy equipment as required
• Handle, install, and move parts, materials, and tools safely
• Maintain accurate service reports and equipment documentation
• Assist in operating heavy equipment when necessary
• Perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, climbing, and handling materials
• Support overall plant maintenance and operations

Qualifications

– Experience working with diesel or heavy construction equipment preferred

• Knowledge of servicing heavy construction equipment
• Basic understanding of industrial tools and maintenance practices
• Ability to work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions
• Willingness to work overtime and extended hours as needed
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
