Job Summary
Nevada Gold Mines is seeking a Process Maintenance Technician to join the Process team at the Cortez Mine in Crescent Valley, Nevada.

This role is responsible for preventive maintenance and repair of processing equipment, including Ball and SAG mills, gearboxes, agitators, centrifugal pumps, vibrating screens, crushers, conveyor systems, and other fixed and mobile process equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repair of processing equipment according to manufacturer requirements
  • Apply machinist and millwright skills to support process maintenance activities
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on Ball and SAG mills
  • Maintain and repair gearboxes, agitators, centrifugal pumps, and vibrating screens
  • Perform maintenance on process crushing and conveying equipment
  • Maintain cone, gyratory, and jaw crushers
  • Maintain fixed and mobile conveyor belting structures
  • Support safe and reliable operation of process plant equipment
  • Identify hazardous conditions and take appropriate action
  • Work with minimal supervision in a growing, fast-paced environment
  • Follow state and federal health and safety regulations
  • Work rotating day and night schedules as required

Qualifications

  • One to two years of millwright experience in a mining or industrial field preferred
  • Machinist or millwright skills preferred
  • Background in preventive maintenance preferred
  • Background in process mining and metals preferred
  • Knowledge of computer operation preferred
  • Ability to be self-directed and work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to stay alert and recognize hazardous conditions
  • Proven safe work record
  • Commitment to courageous safety leadership
  • Ability to work as an initial team member in a growing, fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of state and federal health and safety regulations
  • Ability to work a rotating schedule of nights and days

Physical Requirements

  • Work in a process mining and metals environment
  • Perform maintenance activities on fixed and mobile processing equipment
  • Work rotating day and night schedules
  • Stay alert and recognize possible hazardous conditions
  • Follow health, safety, and operating procedures in a mining environment
