Job Summary
Vulcan Materials Company is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator (Loader) to support plant and mining operations by safely operating loaders to move, load, and manage aggregate materials.

This role focuses on maintaining efficient material flow, supporting production processes, and ensuring safe and compliant equipment operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote safety in all activities in accordance with MSHA and company standards
  • Operate loaders to feed the plant and load customer trucks within specifications
  • Prepare and strip mining areas and move material for processing
  • Maintain stockpiles and ensure consistent material feed
  • Inspect materials to ensure compliance with product specifications
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections and complete reports
  • Monitor plant operations and report maintenance or operational issues
  • Support general plant housekeeping, maintenance, and cleanup activities

Qualifications

– 2+ years of experience operating loaders and dozers preferred

  • Knowledge of equipment capabilities and material specifications
  • Understanding of plant operations and aggregate products
  • Knowledge of OSHA and MSHA safety regulations
  • Hazard recognition and safe operation practices
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Willingness to work overtime and extended hours
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
