Job Summary
U.S. Silica is seeking a Forklift Operator to support operations and supply chain activities through loading, unloading, and transporting materials and sandboxes.

This role focuses on safe equipment operation, efficient logistics, and supporting facility functions to ensure smooth and continuous operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, move, stock, and stage materials using forklifts, clamp trucks, or similar equipment
  • Operate forklift and/or front loader at the wellsite to load and unload boxes from chassis
  • Pull and prepare loads for shipment according to exact specifications
  • Secure and unlock boxes on chassis to ensure safe transport and unloading
  • Maintain records and reports to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Guide trucks and drivers in and out of the wellsite following safety guidelines
  • Direct trucks into loading/unloading areas for proper positioning
  • Identify workplace safety hazards and comply with OSHA and safety standards
  • Report quality issues and load variances
  • Support general facility and operational activities as needed

Qualifications

– High School Diploma or GED required
– 2 years of forklift or similar equipment experience preferred
– 1 year of onsite oilfield experience preferred
– Must be at least 21 years old
– Valid driver’s license required

  • PEC Safeland Training required
