Job Summary
MP Materials is seeking a Mine / Crusher Operator to operate heavy equipment and crushing systems in an open-pit mining environment.
This role is responsible for safe equipment operation, basic maintenance checks, and supporting production activities across mining and crushing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate haul trucks (40–100 ton) and heavy equipment safely
- Operate crushing plant equipment and support crushing operations
- Perform pre-operation inspections and record equipment data
- Adjust crusher circuits to maintain safe and efficient production
- Support maintenance activities and housekeeping around equipment
- Monitor dust control systems and water usage
- Report unsafe conditions and promote a safe work environment
- Assist in operating additional equipment (dozers, loaders, graders, excavators)
Qualifications
– High school diploma or GED
– Experience with crushing plants or heavy equipment (preferred)
Additional Experience May Include
- MSHA Part 46 or 48 certification
- Experience with haul trucks, loaders, dozers, or excavators
- Basic knowledge of open-pit mining safety practices
- Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment inspections
