Job Summary
Asarco is seeking a Business Technologies & Autonomy Lead to support the deployment and integration of digital and autonomous technologies across mining operations.

This role bridges operations, engineering, and IT to drive technology adoption, improve processes, and support digital transformation initiatives in a mining environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support planning, deployment, and integration of business technologies and autonomy solutions
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, IT, and vendors to align projects with operational needs
  • Identify process gaps and opportunities for automation and digital improvements
  • Coordinate system commissioning, validation, and user acceptance testing
  • Maintain project documentation, workflows, and transition packages
  • Lead stakeholder communication and ensure alignment across teams
  • Support training programs and track adoption of new technologies
  • Monitor project risks, dependencies, and execution progress
  • Support procurement processes, vendor evaluations, and cost tracking
  • Track KPIs and prepare dashboards, reports, and presentations for leadership
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards during implementation

Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field
– 2–5 years of experience in project coordination, operations, or industrial environments

Additional Experience May Include

  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP or similar)
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall)
  • Familiarity with automation, data integration, and digital transformation
  • Experience with project management tools (Jira, Trello, MS Project)
  • Understanding of mining or industrial operations
