Job Summary
Asarco is seeking a Sr. Mine Supervisor to lead and coordinate daily mining operations at the Mission Complex.

This role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective production while managing teams, optimizing performance, and aligning operations with business and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct mine operations supervisors and workforce activities
  • Monitor daily operations to ensure material delivery, productivity, and cost efficiency
  • Coordinate with Drill & Blast, Technical Services, Maintenance, and Processing teams
  • Manage in-pit projects, scheduling, and operational priorities
  • Track KPIs, identify improvement opportunities, and implement performance initiatives
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control activities
  • Maintain workforce effectiveness through training, communication, and performance management
  • Coordinate training programs with technical and training teams
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
  • Communicate with senior leadership to improve operational practices and outcomes
  • Fill in for Mine Manager or General Supervisor when required

Qualifications
– 7+ years of supervisory experience in open pit mining
– Strong leadership and operational management skills

Additional Experience May Include

  • Experience with SAP, UKG, and operational systems
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards
  • Strong communication, planning, and multi-tasking abilities
  • Experience working across cross-functional mining teams
