Job Summary
Perpetua Resources is seeking a Civil Engineer to design, support, and manage civil infrastructure for the Stibnite Gold Project.

This role focuses on ensuring that earthworks, drainage systems, structural elements, and site infrastructure are safe, compliant, and optimized throughout the mine life cycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design civil infrastructure including roads, pads, foundations, and drainage systems
  • Support tailings facilities, waste rock dumps, and stockpile infrastructure
  • Develop and review engineering drawings, specifications, and construction packages
  • Support mine development, expansion, and closure projects
  • Oversee construction activities ensuring quality, safety, and compliance
  • Conduct site inspections and assess infrastructure performance
  • Support water management systems including stormwater and erosion control
  • Coordinate with geotechnical, environmental, and hydrology teams
  • Participate in capital projects, contractor management, and construction planning
  • Provide input for cost estimates, schedules, and risk assessments
  • Maintain engineering documentation and regulatory records
  • Promote and uphold strong safety standards

Qualifications

– Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline

  • 8+ years of experience in mining, heavy industrial, or large-scale earthworks projects
  • Strong knowledge of earthworks, drainage, and structural systems
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar design software
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Strong field experience in active construction or mining environments

Additional Experience May Include

  • Experience in surface or underground mining operations
  • Familiarity with tailings storage facilities, haul roads, and mine infrastructure
  • Understanding of geotechnical and hydrological concepts
  • Experience managing contractors and construction execution
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or progress toward licensure
