Job Summary
Kinross Gold Corporation is seeking a Construction Electrical Superintendent to support the Curlew Basin Restart construction program in Republic, Washington.

This project-based role is part of the construction management team and is responsible for overseeing day-to-day electrical construction activities on-site, including contractor coordination, installation oversight, technical review, safety compliance, quality control, reporting, and alignment with project priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate electrical installations and systems throughout the project
  • Ensure electrical work is completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Review and enforce adherence to project plans, drawings, and specifications for electrical works
  • Inspect electrical work with the Field Engineer to confirm compliance with project specifications and industry standards
  • Identify and address deviations or deficiencies in construction activities to minimize delays
  • Review electrical designs, drawings, and specifications and provide feedback to support project requirements
  • Maintain and submit daily progress reports covering electrical activities, labor hours, equipment usage, weather, permits, and inspection records
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to resolve technical challenges and support constructability
  • Act as liaison between contractors, on-site disciplines, and the project management team
  • Provide direction to contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel
  • Participate in daily and weekly coordination meetings to align electrical construction activities with project priorities
  • Provide regular updates to the Construction Management Team on electrical work status and emerging challenges

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
  • Equivalent experience will be considered
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical construction supervision
  • Experience in mining or heavy industrial projects preferred
  • Proven track record overseeing large-scale electrical works, including infrastructure projects
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment specific to electrical work
  • Familiarity with mine safety regulations such as MSHA and environmental standards
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical, and persuasive communication skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with employees and management at all levels
  • Valid driver’s license required

Physical Requirements

  • Work on-site within a construction and mining project environment
  • Wear personal protective equipment at all times while in the production environment
  • Observe, correct, and report unsafe conditions
  • Follow operating procedures and comply with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
