Job Summary
Perpetua Resources is seeking an IT Support Technician II to serve as the primary on-site IT resource at the Stibnite Gold Project.

This role provides advanced technical support and maintains site IT infrastructure, ensuring reliable operations in a remote and fast-paced mining environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary on-site IT support resource for the Stibnite site
  • Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for hardware, software, and network issues
  • Troubleshoot computers, mobile devices, printers, and connectivity problems
  • Escalate critical issues with detailed documentation and analysis
  • Perform server maintenance, updates, and security patching
  • Conduct backup testing and ensure data recovery readiness
  • Configure workstations, user accounts, and permissions in Microsoft 365 and Active Directory
  • Maintain IT asset inventories, documentation, and ticket logs
  • Support IT infrastructure buildout during construction and operations
  • Monitor system performance and identify improvements
  • Provide IT support aligned with rotating site schedules

Qualifications

– Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience

  • 3–5 years of IT support experience with Tier 2/3 capabilities
  • Proficiency with Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory
  • Strong understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills

Additional Experience May Include

  • Experience with server maintenance and system patching
  • Familiarity with backup and recovery processes
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft certifications
  • Experience with remote management tools or RMM platforms
  • Experience in mining, construction, or industrial environments
