Job Summary
Florence Copper is seeking a Drilling Shift Supervisor to oversee wellfield drilling operations and supervise field teams in a 24/7 in-situ copper mining environment.
This role focuses on supervising drilling activities, ensuring data quality, and maintaining safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise drilling, well construction, and testing activities
- Lead and coordinate field teams including geologists and technicians
- Ensure accurate data collection and compliance with QA/QC standards
- Oversee health and safety practices and conduct daily safety meetings
- Prepare shift reports and communicate with management teams
- Manage and maintain field equipment and operational readiness
- Identify and resolve operational issues and scheduling conflicts
Qualifications
– Minimum 5+ years of drilling and wellfield experience
- Experience in drilling or well construction operations
- Strong understanding of hydrogeologic field methods
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in field environments
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Additional Experience May Include
- Experience supervising field personnel
- Experience with GIS and database systems
- Experience in ISR (in-situ recovery) mining operations
