Job Summary
Climax Molybdenum is seeking a Finance Business Analyst I to support financial planning, cost analysis, and strategic decision-making at its operations.

This role focuses on analyzing operational and financial data, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and collaborating across departments to improve efficiency and ensure compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support financial planning and analysis (FP&A)
  • Analyze cost and operational data to support decision-making
  • Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and variance analysis
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close processes
  • Collaborate with operations, procurement, and finance teams
  • Monitor departmental costs and identify optimization opportunities
  • Analyze large datasets and business workflows
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies
  • Communicate insights through reports and presentations

Qualifications

One of the following:

– High School Diploma with 6 years of relevant experience

– Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience

– Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field

  • Strong skills in SAP, Power BI, Microsoft Excel, and Business Objects
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Understanding of financial regulations and SOX controls

Additional Experience May Include

  • Experience in mining or manufacturing financial operations
  • Familiarity with KPIs and OKRs
  • Experience with OneStream, CoreStream, Ariba, or Blackline
  • Knowledge of safety culture and business conduct
  • Experience mentoring or supporting continuous improvement initiatives
