Job Summary
Equinox Gold is seeking a Process Manager to lead ore processing operations and help achieve production, safety, cost-performance, and operational profitability targets.

This role provides leadership and technical guidance to the processing team, with responsibility for production forecasting, planning, staffing, budgeting, cost control, continuous improvement, and safe site operations. :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0}

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the site subject matter expert in mineral processing and operational best practices
  • Maintain a strong field presence to ensure consistent application of operating systems, procedures, controls, and risk-management practices
  • Lead processing operations to maximize production efficiency, safety performance, and cost effectiveness
  • Develop daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports aligned with operational goals and budget expectations
  • Identify short- and long-term improvement initiatives to increase processing efficiency and reduce operating costs
  • Drive continuous improvement by optimizing processes, systems, and equipment performance
  • Coordinate maintenance planning with production requirements, including scheduled downtime activities
  • Use SAP and Microsoft Office tools for reporting, analysis, and data-driven decision-making
  • Support site operations and broader business objectives as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mineral Processing, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline strongly preferred
  • Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the mining or precious metals processing industry
  • Strong hands-on experience in heap-leach gold processing
  • Experience overseeing leach pads, Carbon-in-Column circuits, ADR plants, metallurgical and assay laboratories, refinery operations, and gold recoveries
  • Proven experience in production forecasting and process modeling
  • Demonstrated success in process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Strong financial and budget-management capabilities, including cost control and production optimization
  • Proven ability to lead safe operations within a heap-leach processing facility
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Experience with SAP
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong accountability, integrity, and commitment to operational excellence
  • In-depth knowledge of mining safety, health, and environmental regulations
  • Familiarity with crushing and agglomeration preferred
