Job Summary
U.S. Silica is seeking a Mechanic I to support basic mechanical maintenance and repair tasks on plant equipment.

This role focuses on hands-on learning, developing foundational mechanical skills, and maintaining safe and efficient plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preventive maintenance and repairs of conveyors, pumps, engines, and machinery
• Use hand and power tools to perform basic mechanical work (belts, bearings, seals)
• Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment
• Follow safety procedures, including LOTO and PPE requirements
• Report equipment issues to senior mechanics or supervisors
• Learn to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings and manuals
• Support general maintenance activities
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications
– High school diploma or GED required
– Must be 21+ years old and have a valid driver’s license

• Basic knowledge of tools and mechanical equipment
• Willingness to learn and follow safety protocols
• Mechanical aptitude with some hands-on experience preferred
