Job Summary
Freeport-McMoRan is seeking a Senior Supervisor Moly Processing to support Sierrita operations in Green Valley, Arizona. This role supervises the safe and efficient operation of an assigned work unit, with a focus on production execution, molybdenum processing, hydrometallurgical processes, and operational coordination across site teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate, and control the safe and efficient operation of an assigned work unit.
• Ensure continued operations of production shifts through execution of the production plan and schedules.
• Provide operations input for production and maintenance planning.
• Ensure adherence to safety and operating procedures and compliance with applicable federal and state regulations.
• Inspect assigned work units to ensure schedules and objectives are achieved.
• Coordinate daily with maintenance, processing, engineering, safety, environmental, sales, and other operational teams.
• Directly supervise first-line or shift supervisors.
• Support operational performance, process control, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and seven years of related operational experience, including supervisory or lead experience; or
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical mining-related discipline and three years of operational experience, including supervisory or lead experience.
• Additional certifications or licensure appropriate to the job may be required.
• Knowledge of supervisory methods and techniques.
• Skill in resolving day-to-day questions and problems related to equipment, materials, methods, and procedures.
• Experience with budget preparation, monitoring, and administration.
• Ability to maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with molybdenum by-product processing and hydrometallurgical processes preferred.
• Experience with rhenium recovery, extraction, refining, or reagent management associated with molybdenum operations preferred.
• Knowledge of molybdenum and rhenium metallurgy, including process chemistry, metallurgical accounting, and product quality specifications preferred.
• Experience optimizing metallurgical performance through recovery improvement, reagent optimization, circuit troubleshooting, and process control preferred.
• Experience leading or supporting continuous improvement, debottlenecking, and capital improvement projects in concentrator or molybdenum processing facilities preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment.
• Work may be performed in a mine or manufacturing plant setting with exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, moving mechanical parts, electrical shock risk, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes, or airborne particles.
• Regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear, and see.
• May occasionally lift moderately heavy objects up to 30 pounds.
• Personal protective equipment is required when working in mine, outdoor, or manufacturing plant environments.
• Pre-employment drug testing and ongoing random drug testing may be required, as allowed by applicable laws.
