Job Summary
Equinox Gold is seeking a Heap Leach Operator to support leach pad operations, carbon adsorption circuit activities, solution flow management, reagent control, and routine maintenance of the barren solution system.

This role works as part of a crew to irrigate the leach pad, monitor plant performance, operate equipment, and help maintain process targets in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the carbon adsorption circuit, including carbon transferring, solution flow management, and reagent control
• Irrigate the leach pad and support maintenance of the barren solution system
• Work safely and respectfully at all times
• Perform inspections and report unsafe conditions or equipment defects immediately
• Monitor, log, and control chemical inventories
• Perform plant and leach pad operations on rotating 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Monitor plant performance through sampling, chemical titration, and operating system feedback
• Make operating adjustments to support process targets and peak plant performance
• Operate mobile equipment safely
• Follow direction from lead operators and supervisors
• Operate hand and power tools including wrenches, drills, chainsaws, and pipe fusers
• Read pressure gauges, flowmeters, and other instruments to understand solution flow
• Monitor and troubleshoot equipment and upset conditions
• Perform additional duties as required

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 1 year of experience working in an industrial environment required
• Ability to communicate in English, both written and verbal
• Basic proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office programs
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to safely operate mobile equipment, hand tools, and power tools
• Ability to understand solution flow and read pressure gauges, flowmeters, and other instruments
• Strong safety awareness and ability to report unsafe conditions promptly

• Ability to work in an industrial mining and processing environment
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to operate mobile equipment, hand tools, and power tools
• Ability to perform inspections, sampling support, chemical handling support, and routine leach pad operations
