Job Summary
Bunker Hill Mining Corporation is seeking a Process Supervisor to support the start-up of its new processing facility in Kellogg, Idaho.
This role is responsible for leading Processing Operators, ensuring safe and efficient execution of operational activities, supporting environmental compliance, and helping shape the culture of the newly formed processing team through visible field leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate and plan crew training needs and execute training plans to increase crew flexibility and workforce knowledge
- Perform timely and accurate employee evaluations
- Maintain documentation of employee performance and feedback and keep supervisor logs up to date
- Ensure circuit competency and proficiency checklists are completed in a timely manner
- Actively participate in and execute the Operator Excellence program
- Review SOPs and critical task procedures, conduct training, and maintain updated training logs
- Provide positive reinforcement for strong performance and coaching to improve substandard behaviors
- Manage employee hours according to policy and guidelines, including overtime, training, relief pay, vacation, and PTO
- Meet with the Operations Planner routinely to provide feedback on work completion, planning, and scheduling
- Manage daily equipment needs including maintenance, inspections, training, schedules, and inventory
- Ensure housekeeping standards are continually improved and maintained
- Complete shift reports in a timely and accurate manner
- Support environmental compliance, containment, data management, and reporting
- Participate in safety, incident, and performance investigations as required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Technical training in mineral processing or a related field preferred
- 5-10 years of processing experience, preferably in a mining or mineral processing environment
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a 4-on / 4-off rotating schedule
- Experience with planning and processing management, including setting objectives, anticipating problems, aligning with business goals, and delivering results
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate equipment safely
- Intermediate computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, talent systems, and inventory management systems
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders
- Proven success leading a team, elevating performance, maintaining high safety standards, and supporting a positive work environment
- Ability to focus on business performance, continual personal development, and quality work
- Strong sense of urgency with experience making decisive and timely decisions
- Experience using resources effectively and orchestrating multiple activities to accomplish goals
Physical Requirements
- Move head and neck repeatedly and turn head 90 degrees while operating equipment
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, and/or sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Depth perception and peripheral vision required
- Ability to hear, see, and smell various types of warnings
- Wear required protective equipment
- Perform duties under extreme temperature and weather conditions
- Ability to work extended shifts as required
