Job Summary
Vulcan Materials Company is seeking an Associate Accountant to support accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end processes.

This role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, supporting reporting activities, and assisting with accounting operations under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Record, maintain, and update accounting and financial data and journal entries
• Prepare, maintain, and analyze financial and accounting reports
• Support month-end close activities including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and issues
• Prepare and review financial documents to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Collaborate with team members and support special projects

Skills
– Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
– Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial operations

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Time management and ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Customer service mindset
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
