Job Summary
Vulcan Materials Company is seeking a Scale Clerk Operator to support daily plant operations by managing scale transactions, handling customer interactions, and maintaining accurate records.

This role focuses on operating truck scales, processing transactions, and ensuring efficient and professional customer service within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote safety in all activities in accordance with MSHA and company standards
• Maintain and reconcile cash funds, handling cash, checks, and credit transactions
• Operate truck scales and generate accurate tickets for customers
• Weigh and record incoming materials such as fuel, explosives, and scrap
• Maintain office organization and perform administrative duties
• Answer phone calls and support office-related tasks
• Provide professional customer service and resolve customer inquiries
• Coordinate with sales and dispatch teams for accurate billing and operations
• Direct customers and communicate load requirements to plant personnel

Qualifications

– Minimum 2 years of customer service experience preferred
– Experience in aggregates or industrial environments preferred

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Organizational and time management skills
• Attention to detail and reliability
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and business systems
• Ability to work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions
• Willingness to work overtime and extended hours as needed
