Job Summary
Equinox Gold is seeking a Mine Maintenance Mechanic to perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of mobile mining equipment.

This role ensures equipment reliability and safe operation by diagnosing mechanical issues and maintaining critical systems across mining operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mobile mining equipment including trucks, dozers, and drills
  • Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and drive components
  • Perform preventative maintenance and complete maintenance work orders
  • Use diagnostic software and electronic systems for troubleshooting
  • Interpret shop manuals, schematics, and technical documentation
  • Test equipment post-repair to ensure proper functionality
  • Safely operate and maneuver heavy mining equipment
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Use proper rigging techniques for handling heavy components

Qualifications
– High school diploma or GED
– 5+ years of mechanical experience in mining (preferred)

Additional Experience May Include

  • Experience with heavy mobile equipment (haul trucks, drills, dozers)
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and maintenance systems
  • Certification or ability to operate service/boom trucks
