Job Summary
Intrepid Potash is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to repair, maintain, and ensure the reliable operation of heavy equipment supporting mining and surface operations.

This role is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring safe and efficient operation of mechanical systems in a 24/7 mining environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain heavy equipment including trucks, loaders, dozers, trailers, and light vehicles
  • Monitor and maintain operational reliability of conveyors, pumps, screens, and related equipment
  • Operate heavy equipment such as skid steers, bulldozers, and front-end loaders
  • Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and equipment cleaning
  • Adjust and troubleshoot process equipment to maintain optimal performance
  • Maintain accurate equipment records and inspection logs
  • Identify and report safety hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Support housekeeping and organization of maintenance areas

Qualifications
– High school diploma or GED

  • Valid driver’s license
  • 2+ years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance

Additional Experience May Include

  • Experience with CAT, Cummins, or similar equipment
  • Experience with DOT inspections
  • Ability to use personal tools for maintenance work
  • Experience in mining or industrial environments
