Job Summary
South32 is seeking a Water Treatment Supervisor to oversee the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment systems at the Hermosa Project.

This role focuses on ensuring regulatory compliance, optimizing treatment processes, and leading operational teams to support safe and efficient mining operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise water and wastewater treatment plant operations
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Lead and coordinate operations teams and contractors
  • Plan and schedule operational and maintenance activities
  • Develop and improve treatment procedures and systems
  • Monitor process performance and laboratory data
  • Manage chemical handling, storage, and usage
  • Maintain records, reports, and operational databases
  • Support emergency response and operational continuity
  • Drive continuous improvement in water treatment systems

Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Chemical, Civil Engineering, or related field

  • 5+ years of experience in water treatment operations
  • 1+ year of supervisory experience
  • Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment systems
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements
  • Experience with SCADA or process control systems
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license

Additional Experience May Include

  • Water Treatment Operator certification (ADEQ or equivalent)
  • Experience in mining or industrial environments
  • Laboratory analysis and process optimization experience
