Job Summary
AngloGold Ashanti is seeking a Water Permitting Specialist to manage water rights, permitting, and regulatory compliance for Nevada mining projects.

This role is critical to ensuring water management strategies are compliant, technically sound, and aligned with operational and environmental requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, modify, and maintain water rights permits with regulatory agencies
  • Prepare permit applications, amendments, and supporting technical documentation
  • Interpret permit conditions and communicate requirements to operations
  • Track compliance obligations, reporting deadlines, and regulatory changes
  • Coordinate groundwater, surface water, and stormwater monitoring programs
  • Review and validate monitoring data and prepare regulatory reports
  • Support water balance tracking and operational documentation
  • Serve as liaison with regulatory agencies (state and federal)
  • Identify compliance risks and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Support incident investigations and corrective actions related to water management
  • Collaborate with environmental, operations, and engineering teams

Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Hydrology, Geology, or related field
– 3–7 years of experience in water permitting or environmental compliance

Additional Experience May Include

  • Experience with Nevada water regulations and permitting frameworks
  • Knowledge of groundwater and surface water monitoring programs
  • Experience with regulatory reporting and environmental compliance systems
  • Strong data analysis and technical reporting skills
