Job Summary
Intrepid Potash is seeking a Surface Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant equipment and systems at the HB Plant.

This role ensures operational reliability through preventative maintenance, equipment repairs, and support of plant and heavy equipment systems in a 24/7 mining environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and rebuild malfunctioning plant equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance including lubrication, inspections, and component replacement
  • Maintain plant systems including pumps, conveyors, centrifuges, piping, and structures
  • Fabricate and repair structural steel and piping (HDPE and steel)
  • Conduct pre-shift inspections to ensure safe and efficient operations
  • Support maintenance and operation of mobile and heavy equipment (cranes, forklifts, etc.)
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas and ensure safety compliance
  • Support continuous operation through on-call and emergency maintenance activities

Qualifications
– High school diploma or GED

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience

Additional Experience May Include

  • Welding skills (GMAW, SMAW, GTAW)
  • Experience in mining or industrial plant environments
  • Experience with pumps, conveyors, and process equipment
  • Ability to use personal tools for maintenance work
