Job Summary
Freeport-McMoRan is seeking a Supervisor Health & Safety to lead safety programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote a strong safety culture across mining operations.

This role focuses on risk assessment, incident investigation, and workforce engagement to improve health and safety performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead health and safety programs and workforce engagement
  • Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies
  • Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis
  • Train personnel on safety procedures and standards
  • Support implementation of Health & Safety Management Systems
  • Collaborate with operations and cross-functional teams
  • Monitor safety performance and drive improvements

Qualifications
– High School Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience

  • Experience in health and safety within mining or industrial environments
  • Supervisory or leadership experience
  • Knowledge of safety regulations (MSHA, OSHA)
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with incident investigation and hazard analysis

Additional Experience May Include

  • Experience with safety training programs (e.g., confined space, LOTOTO)
  • Experience with workers’ compensation programs
  • Experience working with regulatory inspections
