Job Summary
AngloGold Ashanti is seeking a Superintendent, Mechanical Reliability Engineer to lead reliability strategies and improve equipment performance across mining and processing operations.

This role focuses on reliability-centered maintenance, failure analysis, and continuous improvement to maximize equipment availability and minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) programs
  • Establish preventive and predictive maintenance strategies for critical assets
  • Analyze equipment performance data to identify failure trends and improvements
  • Maintain asset hierarchy and data integrity in CMMS systems (SAP, Maximo, etc.)
  • Provide engineering support for pumps, conveyors, crushers, mills, and rotating equipment
  • Lead root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and implement corrective actions
  • Conduct vibration analysis, oil analysis, and condition monitoring
  • Support commissioning and performance testing of new equipment
  • Ensure compliance with MSHA and safety standards
  • Mentor team members and support continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
– 5–7 years of experience in reliability or mechanical engineering

Additional Experience May Include

  • CMRP certification
  • Experience with CMMS systems (SAP, Pronto, Maximo)
  • Knowledge of FMEA, RCM, and reliability engineering methodologies
  • Experience in mining, processing, or heavy industrial environments
