Job Summary
Freeport-McMoRan is seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer to improve equipment reliability, optimize maintenance strategies, and ensure continuous production performance at its mining operations.

This role focuses on reliability engineering, failure analysis, and process improvement to reduce downtime and enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify system constraints and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Improve equipment reliability and reduce production interruptions
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCFA) of equipment failures
  • Develop and implement maintenance and reliability strategies
  • Analyze CMMS data to monitor equipment health
  • Define and track equipment performance KPIs
  • Lead failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA)
  • Support development of preventive maintenance plans
  • Evaluate equipment and processes to improve performance
  • Promote safety and recommend engineering solutions

Qualifications
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (or related field)

  • Experience in reliability engineering or maintenance engineering
  • Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) practices
  • Experience with engineering drawings and schematics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Understanding of safety and operational standards

Additional Experience May Include

  • Experience with RCFA methodologies
  • Experience with large mining equipment
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma or TQM principles
  • Experience working with CMMS systems
