Job Summary
Asarco is seeking a Senior Manager Operations to lead and oversee mine and mill operations at the Ray Complex.

This role is responsible for driving operational performance, ensuring safety and compliance, and aligning production, maintenance, and business objectives across departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage mine and mill operations through department managers
  • Provide strategic direction to operational and maintenance teams
  • Optimize production and maintenance balance to maximize output and efficiency
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across tools, processes, and methods
  • Develop and manage annual production and cost budgets
  • Monitor performance and implement corrective actions to improve operational outcomes
  • Oversee safety programs, incident investigations, and regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability and availability
  • Support development of operational strategies and improvement plans
  • Act as backup for the General Manager when required

Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree in Mining, Metallurgical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering
– 10+ years of leadership experience in mining or milling operations

Additional Experience May Include

  • Strong knowledge of mine and mill operational systems
  • Experience with SAP ERP and operational systems
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasts, and operational performance
