Job Summary
MP Materials is seeking a Process Operator to support chemical processing operations for rare earth materials production.
This role is responsible for operating process circuits, monitoring plant conditions, and ensuring safe and efficient production through both field activities and automated control systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control chemical process variables (flow, pressure, temperature)
- Operate and adjust process circuits using SCADA and PLC systems
- Perform daily inspections and report unsafe or abnormal conditions
- Take samples and analyze process performance
- Troubleshoot process and mechanical issues
- Record production data and maintain operational logs
- Operate mobile equipment (forklifts, loaders, skid steers)
- Maintain housekeeping and safe working environment
- Follow SOPs for chemical handling and plant operations
Qualifications
– High school diploma or equivalent
– Basic computer skills (Excel, Office)
Additional Experience May Include
- Experience in chemical plants, water treatment, or industrial operations
- Experience with SCADA/PLC systems
- Experience handling chemicals (acids, reagents)
- Experience operating light/heavy equipment
