Job Summary
U.S. Silica is seeking a Plant Operator to operate and monitor wet plant equipment, assisting with process control and ensuring safe and efficient operations.

This role focuses on supporting plant processes, equipment operation, and maintaining consistent production performance under close supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect immediate work area prior to beginning operations
• Start crushers, screens, conveyors, pumps, hydrosizers, dryers, and related equipment following procedures
• Operate crushers, dryers, and associated plant equipment
• Perform operating adjustments and minor repairs as required
• Shut down equipment following established procedures
• Support plant operations and process control activities
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of all equipment
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

– High school diploma or GED required
– Strong commitment to safety and quality

• Good understanding of plant operations
• Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and work at elevated heights
• Ability to use hand tools (shovel, hammer, wrenches, etc.)
• Good problem-solving skills
• MSHA knowledge preferred
• Forklift experience preferred
• Basic computer skills preferred
• Warehouse experience preferred
