Job Summary
SSR Mining is seeking a Project Manager – Buffalo Valley to lead major capital project development from feasibility through construction and commissioning.
This role focuses on managing study phases, execution planning, and delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget while aligning with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead feasibility studies and develop bankable project reports
- Define contracting and execution strategies
- Manage engineering design and procurement activities
- Oversee construction and commissioning phases
- Ensure project delivery within budget, schedule, and scope
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and external consultants
- Develop and maintain execution and study plans
- Prepare technical and financial reports for stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with company standards and approval processes
- Align project execution with commercial and contracting models
Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or Project Management
- 6+ years of experience in project development, design, or operations
- Experience in mining or mineral processing projects
- Strong knowledge of project delivery, budgeting, and scheduling
- Experience with feasibility studies and execution planning
- Familiarity with JORC, NI 43-101, or SK-1300 standards
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
Additional Experience May Include
- Construction and commissioning experience
- Experience working on projects in Nevada
- Exposure to capital project governance and approvals
- Financial evaluation and risk analysis experience
