Job Summary
Asarco is seeking a General Supervisor – Mine Operations to lead and coordinate mining activities at the Ray Complex.

This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring safe and cost-effective production, and aligning cross-functional teams to meet operational and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct senior supervisors and operational teams
  • Monitor daily mining operations to ensure production targets and material delivery
  • Optimize operational performance while controlling costs
  • Maintain scheduling records and support operational planning
  • Lead workforce management, training, and performance improvement initiatives
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control processes
  • Coordinate with Technical Services, Ore Control, Maintenance, and Engineering teams
  • Align mine operations with mill, crusher, railroad, and SXEW operations
  • Ensure equipment availability through coordination with maintenance teams
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
  • Communicate with Mine Manager to improve operational performance

Qualifications
– Degree in Mining Engineering or related field
– 5+ years of supervisory experience in open pit mining

Additional Experience May Include

  • Experience with Ellipse/Kronos or similar systems
  • Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations (MSHA, OSHA)
