Job Summary
Donlin Gold LLC is seeking a Field Technician to support exploration and field operations at one of the world’s largest undeveloped gold deposits in Western Alaska.

This role supports drilling programs, site preparation, equipment operation, trail and drill pad construction, environmental support activities, and general field maintenance in a remote, safety-focused field environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support drilling and exploration programs through a variety of field and operational activities
  • Assist with site preparation activities and work area setup
  • Support construction and maintenance of drill pads, trails, roads, and access routes
  • Assist with waterline distribution and water well maintenance activities
  • Perform general labor and field support tasks as assigned
  • Operate company equipment safely and effectively if qualified, including skid steers, dozers, excavators, Morookas, and other field equipment
  • Perform routine inspections and safety checks on assigned equipment and tools
  • Assist with maintaining equipment and work areas in safe operating condition
  • Assist with site reclamation and restoration activities
  • Support spill response and remediation activities
  • Help maintain clean, organized, and environmentally responsible work areas
  • Support field operations and changing operational priorities as needed
  • Complete pre-shift inspections and field-level risk assessments
  • Participate in safety meetings and follow established safety procedures
  • Maintain compliance with company safety, environmental, and operational policies

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work independently and effectively within a team environment
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work in a remote field setting
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to perform a variety of hands-on field tasks
  • Experience operating chainsaws, power tools, and hand tools preferred
  • Previous experience operating heavy equipment preferred
  • Previous experience in mining, exploration, construction, or related field operations preferred
  • Experience working in a remote camp environment preferred
  • Current authorization to work in the United States required

Physical Requirements

  • Work on a rotational schedule at a remote Alaska work site
  • Work in varying weather conditions and around heavy equipment, drilling activities, and uneven terrain
  • Stand, walk, or sit for extended periods
  • Climb, balance, kneel, crouch, and crawl as needed
  • Regularly lift up to 50 pounds
  • Occasionally lift up to 150 pounds
  • Pass a post-offer physical examination, drug screening, and criminal background clearance
