Job Summary
Komatsu is seeking an Electrician – Mine Coverage to provide electrical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance across mining operations.

This role focuses on high-voltage systems, motor controls, and electrical diagnostics to ensure safe and reliable mine production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot electrical systems across mine equipment and plant operations
  • Work with resistively grounded systems and electrical protection devices
  • Perform motor diagnostics and troubleshooting
  • Configure and troubleshoot PLC systems
  • Work with transformers (delta-wye and wye-delta connections)
  • Maintain and troubleshoot power and control systems (shovels, draglines, plant)
  • Replace and repair high-voltage and low-voltage cables
  • Use specialized electrical testing equipment (meggers, cable fault locators, SCR testers)
  • Support repairs and troubleshooting for mining equipment
  • Promote and maintain safety standards across all activities

Qualifications

– 5+ years of experience in electrical systems and troubleshooting
– Strong knowledge of motor controls, PLCs, and digital drives
– Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
– MSHA certification and Qualified Electrician status required
– Valid driver’s license
