Job Summary

Gunnison Copper is seeking an Electrician – Instrumentation & Controls to support maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of electrical and control systems across mining operations.

This role focuses on maintaining process control instrumentation, PLC systems, and electrical circuits to ensure safe and efficient plant performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and calibrate process control instrumentation
  • Troubleshoot electrical and control system issues
  • Perform fault analysis on PLC and motor control systems
  • Install and modify electrical and control circuits
  • Maintain signal transmission systems (fiber, ethernet, telemetry)
  • Interpret schematics and control logic diagrams
  • Support preventive maintenance and system optimization
  • Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards

Qualifications

– High School Diploma (or equivalent)

  • 3–5 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance
  • Experience with motor controls and electrical systems
  • Knowledge of PLC systems (e.g., Allen Bradley)
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver’s license

Additional Experience May Include

  • Technical school or military electrical training
  • Experience with instrumentation and control systems
  • Experience installing conduit and instrumentation tubing
  • Knowledge of industrial communication systems
